Cathy Davys has over four decades of experience in the hair industry. Her career is adorned with numerous international competition victories, including appearances at the prestigious Hairdressing World Championships in London and Paris in 1982 and 1992, triumphing as the winner of the Oceanic Masters in 2009, and earning the title of Hito Hairdressing Trainer of the Year in 2015 and 2019.
Beyond her competition successes, Cathy’s open-hearted and generous approach to sharing her vast knowledge has positioned her as a natural leader and educator. Formerly the owner of the renowned ‘Cathy Davys Hair Design and Day Spa’ in Wellington, New Zealand, she made the decision to sell her business in 2011.
Cathy is now based between Masterton and Wellington, dedicating her time to serving clients and nurturing the next generation of stylists, both in salons and at her property and bed and breakfast, ‘The 540 Lodge,’ in Masterton.
