Nestled in the foothills of the Tararua Ranges in North Wairarapa is a hidden property. A short drive from Masterton and only an hour and a half from Wellington, this tranquil property is home to Cathy Davys 540 Salon. The property is absolute magic from the moment you enter the bush clad driveway until you wander through the tranquil and peaceful surroundings. Complimenting the natural beauty of the exterior is a cozy and eclectic interior filled with treasured art and objects gathered both locally and from around the world.

The540Salon @ The540Lodge

The 540 Salon is a fully functioning and operating salon, however, outside clients of the salon will not be on the premise when you’re learning from Cathy. The 540 Salon looks out onto the gardens and pool of the property – the salon is full with natural light even on the rainiest of days.

For group hair work occurring simultaneously during classes, portions of training are moved to the grand dining hall. Each stylists has their own styling bay with ample mirrors and space – when styling one can check their work from multiple angles.
